Program description

The senior secondary program at Guru Nanak Mission Public School prepares students for higher education by preparing them to pass board examinations hosted by the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) in New Delhi. Upon successful passing of the 10+2 exam, students may apply to various universities or vocational schools locally or internationally.
In the grade 11 and 12 classes (i.e. 10+1 and 10+2), students begin focusing their skills in a specific ‘stream.’ These streams qualify students for university entrance in related fields.
For all streams, students develop reading, writing, speaking and listening skills in English, which is a mandatory subject.
Students have the option of adding electives to their coursework, based on their chosen streams.
Modern teaching tools are installed in select classrooms, such as smart boards.
Culturally, the program promotes the values-based development of children, especially to coincide with the Constitution of India. Students participate in a 15-20 minute, daily assembly. Assembly time is spent on prayers, inspirational speeches, holiday celebrations, physical exercise and announcements.
