Bio

Mr. Raman Kumar is a Vice Principal at Guru Nanak Mission Public School in Dhahan Kaleran, in the Shaheed Bhagat Singh Nagar district.

Before becoming Vice Principal, he worked as an English teacher at the school, starting in May, 2010.

Prior to joining Guru Nanak Mission Public School, he held a one-year position as Professor of English at Swami Vivekanand College in Chaksarai, Himachal Pradesh. He also spent a year as English Lecturer at Doaba Public Senior Secondary School in Garhshankar, Punjab.

In his career, he has taught English Core, English Communicative, English Language and English Literature courses to students at secondary, senior secondary and college levels.

His favourite part about teaching English is watching students evolve from hesitant learners to confident speakers. His career is marked with stories of helping students transform their language and presentation skills. His approach to teaching has been to take English beyond grammar and vocabulary and into developmental care for the whole child.

In his leadership role as Vice Principal, he aims to create a culture of collaboration, where teachers feel supported to be innovative in their teaching. He also creates environments where students can think critically and creatively.

He hopes to lead by example, encouraging open communication to build trust among students, staff and parents. He believes that regular communication between the school and parents is key to a child’s overall development.

He also aligns closely with the purpose of Guru Nanak Mission Public School.

“I believe the non-profit work at Guru Nanak Mission Public School is deeply important. It aligns with my personal values of service, equality, and community empowerment. Having worked with this institution for many years, I have witnessed firsthand how providing quality education without discrimination can transform lives and uplift entire families. This mission is close to my heart because I believe education should never be a privilege limited to a few; it should be a right accessible to all.”
